DICOVER THE RACE
An Azure epic
Starting at the mythical Col d'Eze, at an altitude of 500m, you will experience a 54km adventure with 2,100 of D+ (vertical gain).
The route begins in the Grande Corniche Departmental Park, winds around the Fort de la Revère and climbs above La Turbie to the Cime de Cabanelle at 1,090m. Once you reach the Epaule de la Cime du Baudon at 1,200m, you can admire the panoramic views over the Mercantour, the French Riviera, the Mediterranean and the hinterland of Nice.
The descent takes you to the hilltop villages of Peille and Peillon, then along an old irrigation canal, where you will join the 100K and 100M course. The foothills of the Côte d'Azur Prealps via the Mont Leuze trails (at 42 kms into the race) are your final challenge. At the foot of Mont Leuze, the last refreshment point at Plateau Saint-Michel overlooks the harbour of Villefranche/mer and Cap Ferrat.
Course highlights: the trails overlooking Nice, Port Lympia (the Old Port of Nice) with its famous ‘pointus’ (colourful traditional fishing boats), and the finish line on the legendary Promenade des Anglais. An unforgettable race that combines mountains and the Mediterranean against a majestic backdrop.
